THE humble hamburger has evolved at a rapid rate in the past decade or so, well beyond your quick and nasty fast-food fare.

Brioche buns have become the norm, pulled pork is the in thing and you can see the care that goes into them.

While everyone seems to have a wide range, we obviously tried to stick with the “hamburger” theme and go beef.

After more than 400 votes, which saw Burger Plus just edge out Boss Burger Co, we put the four favourites to the test.
